BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Ben and Jerry's Flipped Out Cup ice cream, Blue Bunny Aspen Frozen Yogurt Granola Bars and Dibs single-serving Snack Bags will be among the frozen treats distributed at 2,000 Wal-Mart stores this Saturday as part of its second annual ice cream social.

Although 500 fewer stores will partake in this year's event, the same amount of ice cream will be enjoyed. About one million frozen treats will be handed out between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

"We're hosting what may be the world's largest ice cream social event ever and are encouraging shoppers to come join us for a free frozen treat," said Tyler Lehr, senior category director for frozen food at Wal-Mart, in a statement.
