Walmart Launches 13 New Marketside Soups

Adding to its growing lineup of fresh, convenient meal solutions, Walmart Inc. has introduced 13 new ready-to-eat Marketside Soups in its deli departments nationwide.

Aptly timed for National Soup Month in January, the launch features varieties such as Tomato Bisque and French Onion, available in 16- and 32-ounce sizes with a price range of $2.87 to $4.97. The full lineup of Marketside Soup additions includes:

  • Loaded Potatowalmart broccoli cheddar soup

  • Broccoli and Cheddarwalmart tomato bisque

  • Tomato Bisque

  • Split Pea Soup with Hamwalmart chicken tortilla soup

  • Chicken Tortilla

  • Creamy Chicken & Wild Rice

  • French Onion

  • Garden Vegetable

  • Vegetable Beef

  • Savory Butternut Squash

  • Chicken Bone Brothwalmart new england clam chowder

  • New England Clam Chowder

  • Lobster Bisque

As part of Walmart’s strategy to heat up its deli department, the new Marketside Soups mark an expansion of the Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer’s efforts to provide quick meal solutions for time-strapped shoppers.

In November, Walmart launched Marketside premium pizzas and Pioneer Woman meal kits, including fried chicken and bacon meatloaf varieties. The retailer in May also rolled out its own line of meal kits to more than 2,000 stores, designed to serve two people and ranging in price from $8 to $15.
