Weis Names 4 New Directors

Weis Markets has added four new members to its management team: directors of pharmacy operations, floral, technical services and equipment purchasing.

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets on Wednesday said it has added four new members to its management team: directors of pharmacy operations, floral, technical services and equipment purchasing.

Rick Seipp is Weis' new director of pharmacy operations, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the chain's 119 in-store pharmacies. He joins the company from Rite Aid, where he was a pharmacy district manager.

Lucy Jason is Weis' new director of floral. She joins the company from Wegmans, where she worked in floral for 23 years.

Mark Shearer was named director of technical services. In this position, he will oversee the administration of the company's information technology systems, networks, databases and security. He joins the company from Hewlett-Packard, where he worked as a service delivery executive.

Eric Erikson is Weis' new director of equipment purchasing. He joins the company from Meijer Inc., where he held various positions including director of global sourcing. In his new position, Erikson will oversee the development of new purchasing systems and the streamlining of the company's procurement programs.
