“We are ecstatic to have both Kat and Jennifer—two of the industry’s most talented, respected and enthusiastic trade journalists—aboard our content team to further enhance our all-star lineup,” said Meg Major, WGB’s VP of content. “Their entrenched knowledge of the industry and its key players, coupled with their excellent writing and storytelling abilities, adds a powerful dimension to our content strategy.”
The addition of Martin and Strailey underscores Winsight Media’s investment in its grocery division to position it as the premier brand in the business-to-business trade media space, Major said. “The arrival of Jenn and Kat further propel WGB forward with intelligent perspectives, exceptional creativity and editorial integrity," she said. "We are very fortunate to have them both on our team.”
Martin has spent her career covering the food industry in the B2B press with a focus on providing both independently owned businesses and large retailers with the market research and industry knowledge to run profitable operations.
For the past five years, she has covered the grocery and related industries for a variety of publications, always with a mind to provide retailers the business information needed to provide the best shopping experience possible for consumers. Martin earned her bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing and history from Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Va.
With more than two decades of experience covering the competitive grocery, natural products and specialty food and beverage landscape, Strailey has focused on providing retail decision-makers with the insight, market intelligence, trends analysis, news and strategic merchandising concepts that drive sales.
Jenn Strailey
A longtime freelance journalist for Winsight and other trade media outlets, Strailey has a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College. She also has more than a decade of experience both providing editorial coverage of and working in public relations for the wine industry.
