ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Grocers Association here said Friday the recipient of its 2011 Association Leadership Award is Jim Rogers, president and chief executive officer of the Food Industry Alliance of New York.

"Jim's dedication to his members and his commitment to the continued success of the independent grocer is an example for us all," said Peter Larkin, NGA president and CEO. "His focus is always on fighting for what is best for his members and New York's supermarket industry.

"Jim's leadership and insight as a member of the NGA board of directors has been an asset not only to his fellow board members but also importantly to the membership of NGA."
