SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A former executive secretary for Price Chopper operator Golub Corp. was sentenced Thursday to one to three years in prison for stealing gift certificates, according to a report in the Albany Times-Union.

Christina Pagano, who had worked for Price Chopper for 35 years, was arrested last year for using company gift certificates meant for employee rewards to buy more than $300,000 in personal items.

She plead guilty to grand larceny after a company audit determined she was misrepresenting the number of gift certificates store managers were asking for. Over a 10-year span, she was accused of stealing 6,395 gift certificates, the newspaper reported.
