WOOSTER, Ohio -- Certified Angus Beef LLC honored several retailers for developing marketing programs that effectively boosted sales of CAB products.

Reasor's House of Beef advertising campaign, launched April 1 and running through Labor Day. K-VA-T Food Stores, Abingdon, Va., snagged the 2002 Retail Advertiser of the Year award.

The 2002 Retail Value-Added Products Marketer of the Year award went to Fred W. Albrecht Grocery Co. (Acme Fresh Markets), Akron, Ohio.

Fresh Brands, the Sheboygan, Wis. operator of Piggly Wiggly and Dick's stores, earned the 2002 Retail Commitment to Integrity award. Other operators recognized for highest volume were Schnuck Markets, St. Louis; Stop & Shop Supermarkets, Quincy, Mass.; Giant Eagle, Pittsburgh; Raley's Corp., West Sacramento, Calif.; and Giant Foods, Landover, Md.
