Copps Celebrates June Dairy Month

MADISON, Wis. — A Copps Food Centers store here celebrated June Dairy Month with Bucky the Badger, the official mascot of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, carved from more than a thousand pounds of Wisconsin cheddar. Cheese sculptor Sarah Kaufmann, aka The Cheese Lady, representing the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, spent 39 hours on-site creating Bucky for Copps, one of 155 stores owned by Roundy's, Milwaukee. Here, with Bucky, left to right, are Copps store manager Tim Smith, Kaufmann, Ken Williamson of Kemp Corp. and Kaylee Briggs, Roundy's. The event was sponsored by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.
