The recalled rotisserie chickens, rotisserie chicken soup, rotisserie chicken leg quarters and rotisserie chicken salad — sold under Costco’s Kirkland label — originated from Foster Farms, the producer whose raw chicken FSIS had linked to a widespread salmonella outbreak.
At least one person fell ill after eating Costco’s chicken, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The larger outbreak has so far sickened 307 in 20 states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The CDC warned that the salmonella strain associated with this outbreak is resistant to multiple common antibiotics.
