DES MOINES -- The National Pork Producers Council has promoted John Hagerla to assistant vice president of retail and foodservice marketing, responsible for all aspects of the organization's marketing initiatives in retail and food service. He fills a vacancy created when Joe Leathers departed the NPPC. Prior to this, Hagerla was the trade group's director of retail marketing, a position he held for three years. He will report to Dallas Hockman, vice president of demand enhancement. Replacing Hagerla in his old post is Karen Boillot. She was most recently the NPPC's Midwestern retail regional marketing manager.
