CARTERET, N.J. — Pathmark Stores here has switched its private-label meats from Pathmark Brand to America's Choice, according to an announcement featured on the company's website and in recent store circulars. “Everybody loves our fresh Italian Sweet or Hot Sausage, with no added preservatives or MSG. They grill, broil or pan-fry for a full-flavored, juicy meal. So the only thing we changed is the name,” read the circular, which also featured specials on America's Choice chicken leg quarters, bagged whole chickens and boneless chicken breasts. America's Choice is a private-label brand launched by Pathmark parent company A&P in 1994.
