As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, retailers including Hy-Vee, Bi-Lo, Fareway and more are helping customers stay on budget with turkey deals and promotions.

Hy-Vee will give shoppers a free 10- to 14-pound turkey with the purchase of a whole ham.

When customers spend $50 in the meat case at Fareway, they will receive a free 10- to 14-pound turkey, or a steep discount on turkeys 15-24 pounds, the retailer announced on its website.

Bi-Lo and Giant Eagle both promise to match competitors’ prices on frozen turkeys.

Giant Eagle will also match the price on fresh turkeys.

At Meijer, customers can get 50% off any fresh or frozen turkey after spending $20. The retailer expects to sell 1 million turkeys this season.

“A Thanksgiving meal isn’t complete without the turkey, and with these great prices, Meijer wants to ensure that our customers can provide their families with the best holiday experience,” Jerry Suter, Meijer’s VP of meat and seafood said in a press release. “Not only is Meijer able to deliver a delicious meal to our customers, but we’re able to do so at a tremendous value.”
