BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Sam’s Club’s rotisserie chicken came out on top in a recent review of supermarket and club channel rotisserie chickens by foodchannel.com, the company announced yesterday. “Our independent review showed that Sam’s Club rotisserie chicken boasts an outstanding flavor, allowing consumers to have the best flavor at the lowest cost,” Kay Logsdon, an editor at Foodchannel.com, said in a release. “The flavor and price were the two criteria that pushed Sam’s Club above the rest in our recent taste test. It’s a marinated and roasted, ready-to-eat, 3-pound chicken for less than $5. That comes to $1.24 per person for a family of four. In the opinion of our tasters, that shows value without sacrificing quality.” The independent review compared Sam’s Club rotisserie chicken with comparable chickens purchased at three other supermarket delis.
