Store set to open in Bell Gardens is grocer’s second new location in 2024

El Super is opening a new store in the metro Los Angeles community of Bell Gardens on July 17, the grocer announced Thursday.
The chain, which operates 67 stores in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas, is owned by Chedraui USA, which operates 382 stores under three banners — El Super, Smart & Final, and Fiesta Mart.
The 41,000-square-foot Bell Gardens store is El Super’s second opening of the year, following the opening of a location in San Ysidro, Calif.
El Super’s new location features a bakery, tortilleria, seafood department, meat department, deli cheese counter, and quick-service restaurant “where customers can enjoy a variety of flavorful, familiar dishes, snacks and treats …” the grocer said.
