Giant Food Hires Lamontagne as Construction VP

Giant Food Stores announced yesterday that it has hired Steve Lamontagne as its new vice president of construction and engineering.

CARLISLE, Pa. — Giant Food Stores here announced yesterday that it has hired Steve Lamontagne as its new vice president of construction and engineering. Lamontagne will be responsible for store planning and design, construction, engineering, maintenance and energy management. He will report to Gerry Adams, senior vice president for real estate and construction, and will work closely with Thom McIntosh, vice president for construction, who has announced his retirement at the end of the year. With more than 20 years of management experience in supermarket store development, Lamontagne was most recently vice president, store planning and formats, and managing director of the Design Services Group at Supervalu, Minneapolis. He has also worked with Albertsons, Shaw’s Supermarkets, Grand Union and Almacs Supermarkets.
