Giant Food Introduces Fresh Meal Kits in Select Washington D.C. Area Stores

Each kit features pre-measured, fresh ingredients and step-by-step instructions to create a meal for two in 35 minutes or less.

Giant Food of Landover, Md., has launched fresh meal kits in eight greater Washington, D.C. stores. Each kit features pre-measured, fresh ingredients and step-by-step instructions to create a meal for two in 35 minutes or less. Giant’s meal kits will be available at the deli and produce departments of select Giant stores and can be ordered for home delivery through Peapod by Giant.  

“These new fresh meals kits are a way for us to make our customers’ lives easier,” says Gordon Reid, president of Giant Food of Landover, Md. “Giant is excited about the launch of these kits, which will save our customers time while also providing them with a healthy, well-rounded  delicious meal the whole family can enjoy together.”

Featured meals and recipes are “Fast, Fresh and Easy” like those found in Giant’s Savory magazine. The summer meal varieties include: lemon thyme chicken with zucchini, cherry tomatoes and white rice; Asian style pork stir fry with white rice; bacon 7 feta cheese stuffed chicken breasts with roasted broccoli and potato wedges; and salmon risotto with spring vegetables.

One kit costs $14.99 and two kits, to serve four people, cost $24.99. The kits can be purchased at the following stores:
