Giant Food Stores to Acquire Two Genuardi's Stores

Carlisle, PA. -- GIANT Food Stores LLC of Carlisle, Pennsylvania has entered into a sales agreement with Safeway, Inc. to acquire two Bucks County Genuardi's. The stores are located at 1055 Bustleton Pike in Feasterville and 389 Easton Road in Warrington.


Both stores will close on November 13 at 6:00 PM to undergo remodels and renovations and will re-open under the GIANT banner during the first quarter of 2011.

The Giant Carlisle Division of Ahold USA operates 180 stores in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia under the names of GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN'S Food Markets, including 35 stores in the Greater Philadelphia region.
