Hy-Vee debuts new Iowa store after banner conversion
The newly acquired North Scott Foods location in Eldridge represents the community’s only supermarket.
Hy-Vee this week opened a new grocery store in Eldridge, Iowa, that was converted and upgraded from an acquired North Scott Foods supermarket.
The 21,789-square-foot Hy-Vee, which held a grand opening on Tuesday, brings 15,000 items—including 1,000 specialty and 500 produce products—plus fresh bakery, meat, seafood, deli and beer/wine/spirits departments to a community of about 6,700 people, which previously had single-unit grocer North Scott Foods as its only grocery store.

The store is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and employs 85 associates, including 18 full-time staff. Hy-Vee retained all of North Scott Foods’ employees.
“Your Eldridge Hy-Vee is here to make your life easier, healthier and happier.
