Airius, manufacturer of energy-efficient destratification fans, has introduced its Retail Series fans for grocery stores, superstores and other retail operators.
The Retail Series Model 20 fans are designed to:
Balance temperature in grocery and retail facilities with ceiling heights of 10 to 22 feet.
Cut storewide energy costs by reducing over-heating and over-cooling due to stratification as well as reducing frequent starts and stops of HVAC systems.
Improve comfort of shoppers and employees, increasing product sales and productivity.
Feature Airius’ energy-efficient electronically commutated (EC) motor.
The Retail Series, housed in a cylindrical design for a consistent architectural style throughout a store, offers two nozzle options:
The Narrow Aisle nozzle creates an elongated air pattern to circulate air into narrow, tighter spaces such as frozen food and open case aisles.
The Standard nozzle produces a slightly wider air pattern that is well suited for general sales or other shopping areas in any store.

Mitigates fogging on freezer doors and helps balance humidity.
Narrow Aisle nozzle spreads air further out in aisles, which can result in fewer units required for complete coverage.
While typically installed vertically, fans can be installed at an angle to move air into a difficult-to-reach space such as produce, seafood or meat counters.
Airius fan systems create thermal equalization -- the process of balancing the temperature from ceiling to floor and wall-to-wall. Case studies have shown energy savings up to 35 percent in the heating season and 25 percent in the cooling season, say company officials, adding that destratification also helps prevent heat loss through the ceiling.
