New York specialty food store Grace’s Marketplace said that it would relocate its store to a larger space a few blocks away.

Grace’s, co-founded by Grace Balducci Doria, has operated for nearly 30 years on 3rd Avenue between 71st and 72nd streets, but has broken ground on a new space on East 68th Street, scheduled to open this summer. The store will occupy space 7,700 square feet of retail space on the building’s ground floor and an additional 5,400 square feet on the lower level for storage and operations.

In addition to everything the store currently offers — an extensive range of premium Italian and Mediterranean products, international gourmet products, fresh meat, seafood and produce sections, breads and desserts, plus a daily menu of freshly prepared foods and catering services — the new layout will feature an open style kitchen for customers to dine in for breakfast, lunch and dinner; on site cooking classes, product demos, personal shopping tours with chefs, as well as a European style espresso bar.

The new location will feature a complete redesign of the store’s interior look and feel, representing a fresh modern approach with clean lines, subtle earth tones and plenty of natural light with the street facing windows, Grace’s said.
