CVS sells Alabama distribution center for $22M
The DC has been closed since May
CVS Health has sold a distribution center in Alabama for $22 million.
The 440,000-square-foot property, in Bessemer, Ala., was sold to Duff Real Estate LLC, a property developer, at the end of last month, according to reporting from the Birmingham Business Journal.
CVS told the publication earlier this year that the company had made the “difficult decision” to officially close the facility in May, despite the company’s positive growth in 2022.
Before it shut down, the distribution center was employing around 200 people, according to local reporting.
According to the company’s report on its third-quarter results, CVS’ total revenues increased to $89.8 billion, up 10.6% compared to prior year.
