SAN JOSE, Calif. -- DVDPlay, a provider of automated DVD rental machines in supermarkets of Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif., and U.S. Bank, Minneapolis, are offering first-time U.S. Bank customers free checking and 10 free DVD rentals. The promotion is at participating U.S. Bank branches located in Safeway stores in the Bay Area. Customers can visit any participating Safeway that has a U.S. Bank branch and open up a free checking account for this limited time offer. Each new checking account will receive a coupon for 10 free rentals from the DVDPlay kiosk. Most Safeway stores have DVDPlay machines in the front of the store near the checkout counters. "Together DVDPlay and U.S. Bank are building stronger awareness of our mutual services through customer acquisitions at the branch locations and DVDPlay rental kiosks inside participating Bay Area Safeway stores," said Dee Cravens, chief marketing officer of DVDPlay here.
