GMDC Gives Lifetime Achievement Award to P&G’s Murray

The Global Market Development Center, Colorado Springs, better known as GMDC, awarded its 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award to Wallace B. Murray, formerly of Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati.

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Global Market Development Center, Colorado Springs, better known as GMDC, awarded its 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award to Wallace B. Murray, formerly of Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati. The presentation was made during the association’s Health Beauty Wellness Marketing Conference here this week. GMDC gives this award to those who contribute significantly to the general merchandise or health, beauty and wellness industries, as well as to GMDC through their leadership. Murray served as chairman of GMDC’s HBC Advisory Board and was instrumental in expanding long-range planning to the boards and committees he served on. Murray also served as vice chairman of the Educational Foundation, responsible for developing the educational and research programs for GMDC. Murray’s career at Procter & Gamble spanned 34 years and included roles in sales, and sales management at the local, regional, national and global levels. He also represented P&G in industry affairs, as well as in external business development and global licensing. He retired in 2002.
