Midwest grocery retailer Hy-Vee has opened its second Hy-Vee Health infusion clinic in Chicago.

The referral-based infusion clinic provides treatments for rheumatology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, neurology, dermatology, oncology and other chronic conditions. The independent, physician-managed clinic is staffed by licensed physicians and nurse practitioners and features six semi-private infusion rooms.

The clinic accepts insurance from private insurers, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. The clinic is open Mondays through Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon.

“We are proud to join the Chicago medical community as we bring affordable infusion treatments to area patients who are facing chronic, complex conditions,” said Aaron Wiese, president of Hy-Vee, Inc. “In addition to providing a comfortable and convenient experience, our ultimate mission is to improve the overall health outcomes of our patients in this area.”

The company’s first Hy-Vee Health infusion clinic opened earlier this year in West Des Moines, Iowa (the same area as Hy-Vee's headquarters). Since 2014, Hy-Vee has operated Amber Specialty Pharmacy, a specialty pharmacy provider licensed in 50 states with 19 locations across the United States, including a location in Chicago. Amber Specialty Pharmacy specializes in providing personalized care for patients with complex conditions.
