CINCINNATI -- Kroger Co. here opened its newest ethanol fuel pump at a store in Columbus late last week. The fuel, E85, consists of 85% corn-based ethanol and 15% petroleum and can be used by flexible fuel vehicles, which can run on E85 or gasoline. Kroger, which now has seven E85 locations in Ohio, plans to have 23 more E85-enabled locations by May, according to a report in the Columbus Dispatch. Although there are 40 stations that offer E85 in Ohio, Kroger is already the company that owns the most in the state, the report said.
