Publix Super Markets was named the preferred pharmacy for the Florida Drug Card Program.

LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets here was named the preferred pharmacy for the Florida Drug Card Program. The Florida Drug Card is a discount card available to all Florida residents through the website FloridaRxCard.com, where cards can be downloaded directly and printed. Of the 11 chain pharmacies honoring the cards, Publix has been chosen to process prescriptions through the discount program even for those unable to download and print a card. Sponsored by the nonprofit organization FreeDrugCard.US, the program can save members up to 75% at independent and chain pharmacies, including Rite Aid, Walgreens, Kroger, Giant Eagle, Eckerd Drugs, Publix, Bi Mart, Longs, Sav-on, Osco and Target.
