MINNEAPOLIS -- Target Corp. expanded its $4 prescription generic drug program to all of its pharmacies late last week. This move matched an expansion of the program made by Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark., to 11 more states in its plan to reach all 50 states by January. Target operates 1,494 stores in 47 states, although not all stores have pharmacies. Wal-Mart's program is now in 3,009 pharmacies in 38 states. Target said it made the move to avoid confusion among its customers.
