CHICAGO -- The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade and the Organic Trade Association announced that their trade events, currently co-located with the annual FMI show every May, will continue to be held in the Windy City in 2008 and beyond. Officials from both groups said that the spring Fancy Food Show and All Things Organic will run concurrently at McCormick Place April 27-29, 2008. The decision comes after FMI announced last month that it would begin alternating its exhibit event with an educational forum every other year, as well as moving those venues around the country to different cities. Another group that co-located with the others for the giant May function, the United Fresh Produce Association, has said it will continue to co-locate with the alternating FMI formats after 2007. FMI and United‘s 2008 shows will be held May 5-7 in Las Vegas.
