Gallery: Sprouts promotes 'Healthy Living for Less'

The Sprouts Farmers Market in Irvine, Calif., like the rest of the 180-store chain, emphasizes lower prices on healthy food, especially produce.

“We offer the same quality that our competitors offer at a lower price,” said store manager Geoff Iguchi.

As one way to save on costs, Spouts merchandises its products in wooden bins rather than high-end fixtures. Another focus is natural and organic products, such as all-natural meats.

“Basically our meat doesn’t do drugs,” said Iguchi.

Throughout the store, Sprouts promotes “Healthy Savings” on good-for-you sale items. The retailer also hones its messaging using signs touting “Farm Fresh,” “Great Things for a Great Life” and “Healthy Living for Less.”
