Gallery: Whole Foods El Paso emphasizes in-store dining

Whole Foods’ new El Paso, Texas, store captures the regional culture of El Paso through its bright colors and lively décor, according to DL English Design, which in addition to this store, has designed hundreds of Whole Foods Market locations.

“Our goal is to create retail that is part of the community and do it in an authentic way,” said DLE Design director Barry Jacob, in a statement.

Also reflecting the local culture are fresh prepared food offerings. The store features a tortilleria and taqueria operated by El Paso-based Isabella Foods, which serves fresh tortillas, burritos, tacos and other Mexican dishes that shoppers can sit down and enjoy in one of the store’s several indoor or outdoor eating areas. The location includes a 32-seat meeting room for community events, an 82-seat bar and restaurant, a 70-seat mezzanine dining area and outdoor terrace that seats 62.
