In an event in New York Tuesday, Lidl revealed that its first U.S. stores would open June 15 – about four years since its executives arrived on the shores to explore the possibility – and also revealed a number of the products shoppers will see when they arrive.
These include a line of specialty imported items under the Preferred Selection name (such as the German chocolates pictured here), mainstream products, and personal care and other non-grocery items. Executives said they would carry prices about 50% lower than comparable U.S. grocery stores. Here are some of those items.
