H-E-B Takes On Milky Way, 3 Musketeers

SAN ANTONIO — The H.E. Butt Grocery Co. has introduced a line of private-label candy bars aimed to compete against Milky Way, 3 Musketeers and other popular brands.

Sold for 50 cents each, the bars come in four flavors: Chewomp, Caramel Cloud, Kooky Caramel and Cocoa Cloud.

Chewomp is a Snickers-type bar made with nougat, caramel, and peanuts covered in milk chocolate; Caramel Cloud, similar to a Milky Way in that it’s made with nougat and caramel and covered in milk chocolate; Kooky Caramel, similar to Twix, made with biscuit and caramel and covered in milk chocolate; and Cocoa Cloud, is like 3 Musketeers, chocolate nougat covered in milk chocolate.

“Got a sweet-tooth? Well you're in for a serious treat!” H-E-B wrote on its Facebook page last week when it introduced the line.
