Winn-Dixie lets public choose next soda flavor

Winn-Dixie has launched a consumer contest to determine the next flavor of its Chek private label carbonated soft drink.

Winn-Dixie, Jacksonville, Fla., has launched a consumer contest to determine the next flavor of its Chek private label carbonated soft drink.

Contestants must select an original flavor name, up to three ingredients and the inspiration for their flavor.

All entries must be submitted by Jan. 31 at www.newcheklist.com.

Three finalists’ flavors will be sampled at Bi-Lo, Harveys or Winn-Dixie stores from July through September.

One grand-prize winner and two first-prize winners will be determined by an online vote.

Winners will be announced by Oct. 15.

The grand-prize winner will get a 2015 Mini Cooper car and a one-year supply of Chek soda.

The runners-up will each get a 2015 Scooter and one-year supply of Chek.
