Farm Fresh Names Marketing VP
here has named Dale Faunce vice president of meat and seafood marketing, a new position.
He was director of meat and seafood, a position he held for two years. Before he joined Farm Fresh in 1993, he served in various positions with Kroger Co., Cincinnati; A&P, Montvale, N.J., and other chains.
Faunce reports to Steve Harmon, who was recently named senior vice president of marketing and merchandising.
The director of meat and seafood position will not be filled.
Heluva Good Cheese Taps VP
SODUS, N.Y. -- Heluva Good Cheese here has named John C. Boyle vice president and general manager.
In his new position, Boyle, who succeeds former President John S. Yancey, oversees all aspects of the company. He reports to the president of the parent company, BolsWessanen USA, part of Koninklijke BolsWessanen in the Netherlands. Sources at the company declined to comment on whether the position of president would be filled.
Prior to his appointment, Boyle worked as vice president of sales and marketing. Before joining Heluva Good Cheese he was a senior division manager for Sargento Cheese Co. in Wisconsin.
Heluva Good Cheese is a marketer, distributor and packager of branded food products, serving states East of the Mississippi. The company's product lines include natural cheeses, refrigerated dips, cold pack cheese foods, sour creams, horseradish, salsa, snack foods and condiments.
AMI Appoints General Counsel
WASHINGTON -- Mark D. Dopp has been appointed general counsel to the American Meat Institute. He succeeds Alexander Mathews, who will become the new president and chief executive officer of the Animal Health Institute in Alexandria, Va.
Before joining AMI, Dopp was with Hogan & Hartson's Food & Agriculture Practice Group since 1989, advising clients on administrative, regulatory, and legislative issues, and representing them in enforcement cases brought by regulatory agencies.
Formerly a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of General Counsel, he represented the Department's Food Safety and Inspection Service and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
