ConAgra Seafood Names Leavitt

afood Companies has appointed David Leavitt to the position of vice president of marketing -- retail seafood. He will report to Tom Lavan, executive vice president of the division, with a "dotted line" reporting relationship to Nancy Hedrick, senior vice president of marketing for ConAgra Frozen Foods Retail Products.

In his new position, he will be responsible for further development of the company's frozen seafood retail business. Before this, Leavitt was with Tyson Foods, which he joined 10 years ago. Most recently, he was director of marketing for Tyson Seafood Division in Seattle, Wash.

American Seafoods Promotes Larkins

SEATTLE -- American Seafoods Company has promoted Brett Larkins to the position of sales manager for Chilean sea bass and salmon, within the company's Industrial Ingredients Group. He is responsible for all sales and marketing aspects of Chilean sea bass, salmon and other frozen fish destined for secondary processing.

Larkins was previously a sales and marketing representative for ASC, specializing in the Chilean sea bass program. Before that, he was a sales manager at Ocean Mist Seafoods, where he traded products on the wholesale level.
