Global consulting firm Accenture has agreed to acquire H.B. Maynard and Co., Pittsburgh, a privately held consulting, software and training company that provides workforce-productivity-management solutions.

NEW YORK — Global consulting firm Accenture here has agreed to acquire H.B. Maynard and Co., Pittsburgh, a privately held consulting, software and training company that provides workforce-productivity-management solutions. Maynard’s clients include such food retailers as Giant Eagle, Wegmans and Supervalu. The acquisition strengthens Accenture’s Human Performance practice, which provides services to help clients increase the performance of their workforces. The acquisition is subject to regulatory and other customary approvals and is expected to close within 30 days. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
