MATTHEWS, N.C. — Family Dollar Stores here announced Friday that it has named Timothy R. Brokaw vice president, decision support. “The company has invested significantly to improve our customers’ shopping experience,” said Ken Smith, senior vice president and chief financial officer, to whom Brokaw will report. “The continuous evaluation of these investments to ensure that the returns meet our expectations is critical to our ability to be a compelling place to shop, work and invest. Tim’s extensive experience and expertise will be an important asset as we focus on driving better returns from key investments.” Prior to joining Family Dollar, Brokaw spent 10 years in various roles with PEP Boys in Philadelphia.
