ATLANTA -- NCR here yesterday unveiled the latest model of its RealPOS DynaKey POS keyboard, which includes an optional integrated fingerprint reader for POS access and timekeeping. With the biometric fingerprint reader, employees use their uniquely identifiable fingerprint instead of traditional passwords, swipe cards or keys that can be forgotten, lost or exchanged among users, NCR said. Standard with the newest version of DynaKey is a larger 15-inch color LCD display. "DynaKey customers have reported measurable reductions in training time and notable increases in productivity at the checkout when compared to standard touch configurations," said Greg Egan, NCR vice president for assisted-service solutions, in a statement. The newest DynaKey will debut at the National Retail Federation convention in New York, Jan. 14-17.
