SEATTLE — The Subway restaurant chain, Milford, Conn., and Modiv Media, Boston, announced Friday that 345 Subway franchises in the Seattle-Tacoma area will be offering mobile promotions and offers to their customers. Modiv Media worked with the Subway franchisee Advertising Fund Trust to develop the mobile promotions campaign, called “My Subway Mobile,” which was launched yesterday at the Seattle Seahawks’ home game against the St. Louis Rams. About 70,000 spectators at Seattle’s Qwest Field stadium had a chance to win a signed Seahawks helmet when they sent a text message with a keyword using their mobile phone. The JumboTron at Qwest Field announced the signed memorabilia competition and the specific keyword to text in. All entries were enrolled in the free “My Subway Mobile” club and will receive a free six-inch Subway sandwich with the purchase of another six-inch sub at participating Subway stores. Local Seattle-area residents can also enter the program by texting in “sub018” to 35562. “With My Subway Mobile, we are giving our customers an easier method to redeem their paperless coupons and offer them more rewards and real-time alerts,” said Seattle-Tacoma Subway Marketing Board Chair, Paul Armour, in a statement.
