LUBBOCK, Texas -- United Supermarkets here has selected Cornerstone OnDemand's learning management system, called Cornerstone Learning, to optimize its training programs, accelerate bringing new hires aboard, and improve retention of its 8,500 employees, Cornerstone OnDemand, Santa Monica, Calif., announced yesterday. “We needed a solution that could successfully on-board and develop all our team members across all stores, while enabling simple management of the process from one location,” said Tom Weis, director of training for United Supermarkets, in a statement. United Supermarkets operates 46 stores under three formats: United Supermarkets, Market Street and Super Mercado.
