What’s one cool thing you’ve done in the past year to help elevate/promote health and wellness at retail?

Natalie Menza-Crowe: When COVID-19 hit, we quickly pivoted our retail dietitian services to virtual and increased the hours of our online chat service to continue to serve our customers from home. The RD virtual chat instantly connects shoppers with a dietitian just as if they were in the store for help with meal ideas or nutrition advice. We also added “meal inspirations” to our weekly circular to help customers eat healthy at home and started regularly doing Instagram and Facebook lives to share easy to replicate recipes.

What’s next as we ease out of the pandemic?

We’re already seeing quite a bit of in-store activity again which is great. However, I believe the pandemic showed what is possible virtually and going forward, we’ll use a blend of digital and in-person services to better meet the needs of our customers.
