Following the runaway success of singer Patti LaBelle’s sweet potato pie at Walmart stores last year, the retailer announced two new products: premium vanilla pound cake and premium caramel cake.

Walmart also created a website — www.walmart.com/patti — where customers can search if the Patti LaBelle bakery products are available in their local store. The sweet potato pie quickly sold out across the country when it debuted in November.

Patti LaBelle’s vanilla pound cake went on sale in stores on Monday, while the caramel cake will be available beginning Jan. 18.

The Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer said it used 50,000 pounds of vanilla icing for initial orders of the vanilla pound cake and 54,000 pounds of butter for the caramel cakes.
