Hy-Vee Shoppers Donate Food to Pet Shelters

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee raised more than $25,000 worth of pet food and supplies through its “Pets Can Go Hungry Too” campaign.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee raised more than $25,000 worth of pet food and supplies through its “Pets Can Go Hungry Too” campaign.

From March 4 through 17, it sold $5 and $10 Shelter Donation Bags filled with food and supplies. Hy-Vee sold 3,740 bags totaling $25,140, according to an announcement on its Facebook page. Each store picked a local shelter to which the bags were delivered.

“A Big Thank You to those that helped the Pets Can Go Hungry Too campaign,” Hy-Vee wrote on Facebook.
