Safeway launches high-protein frozen entrees

Safeway has introduced a high-protein sub-brand under its Eating Right frozen line.

Safeway has introduced high-protein frozen entrees under its "Eating Right" private label.

“Eating Right for High Protein” frozen entrees each have at least 20 grams of protein and less than 15 net carbs.

Among the 14 varieties: crustless chicken pot pie, with 27 grams of protein; beef chili, 25 grams of protein; and meatballs marinara, 21 grams.

The entrees are currently on sale for $2.99 each.
