RICHMOND, Va. — Ukrop’s Super Markets announced yesterday that Savings Spot personalized coupon kiosks have been installed at the entrances of all of its Virginia stores. Shoppers who scan their Ukrop’s Valued Customer Card at a Savings Spot kiosk will receive a sheet of up to eight offers and messages selected for them based on their shopping history. “The Savings Spot is a major milestone in the reinvention of our UVC card loyalty platform to widen the gap between other grocery chains ‘discount cards’ that have become commodities and ours, that personalizes the shopping experience and promotes loyalty,” said Scott Aronson, vice president of marketing at Ukrop’s, in a statement. “The Savings Spot is a unique competitive advantage for Ukrop’s and our key vendors to speak directly to our customers at the start of their shopping trips.”
