The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) has launched the Women in Dairy Network with the goal of bringing together established leaders with young professionals to help expand the presence and influence of women in the dairy industry. The forum will foster mentoring, support development, build networking opportunities and encourage leadership.

The Women in Dairy Network will make its formal debut Jan. 26-29 at Dairy Forum 2020 in Scottsdale, Ariz., with a series of sessions and special events for the Women in Dairy Network Advisory Council and others interested in joining.

“IDFA is proud to launch the Women in Dairy Network to build a stronger, more resilient and more diverse dairy industry for the future,” said Tracy Boyle, director of employee relations and administrative services for IDFA and coordinator for the Women in Dairy Network. “The network will empower, encourage and support women in the dairy industry through leadership development, mentoring and networking events.”

Erin Sharp, group VP of manufacturing for The Kroger Co., Cincinnati, along with executives from dairy companies such as Yoplait, Kraft Heinz, Kemps, Nestle and others make up the Advisory Council that will oversee the network.
