SAN ANTONIO — Vanilla is the newest flavor of H-E-B MooTopia, a high-protein, reduced-sugar, lactose-free milk.

Vanilla has joined regular and chocolate-flavored MooTopia on H-E-B store shelves. MooTopia is made by using special filters to remove some of the water naturally found in milk to help concentrate the vitamins, protein, calcium and other nutrients.

The result is a milk product that has 50% more protein, 25% more calcium, yet 50% less sugar than regular milk.

“It’s a great way for kids to get calcium and protein but less sugar,” H-E-B states in a YouTube video.

H-E-B is promoting the brand by offering a free 10.6-ounce bag of H-E-B’s “The Big Chip” chocolate chip cookies (a $2.98 value) to shoppers who buy a 64-ounce container of MooTopia.
