ST. PAUL, Minn. — Kowalski’s Markets is gearing up for its annual fall cheese classes. In its August customer newsletter, the family-owned chain urges customers to register before classes fill up.

On the agenda, beginning Sept. 8 is a series of three classes on how to make your own mozzarella, at the chain’s flagship Woodbury store. There, the company’s team of cheese specialists will present a history of the different types of mozzarella on the market and then conduct hands-on, fresh mozzarella-making lessons.

Later in the fall, the specialists will show customers — in a class to be held at six of its highest-traffic stores — how to pair different accoutrements with cheese. What goes with what will be the theme. Then a “holiday dazzler class” is set for November.

For customers’ convenience, all classes are held in the evening.
