Broe Joins Weis as Center Store VP

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here on Thursday said that it has named Kevin E. Broe as its new vice president of Center Store sales and merchandising.

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here on Thursday said that it has named Kevin E. Broe as its new vice president of Center Store sales and merchandising.

Broe’s previous position was vice president of center store merchandising for A&P, Montvale, N.J.

At Weis, Broe will oversee the chain’s grocery, dairy, frozen and HBC/GM departments along with private brands, pricing and shelf management. He reports to Kurt Schertle, the company’s executive vice president, sales and merchandising.

Broe began his career in store management before moving over to sales and merchandising in 1990. Over the past 22 years, he has worked in various merchandising and private-brand positions in roles of increasing responsibility for Supervalu, A&P and American Stores.
