FMI Names Stegeman to New Business Planning Post

Food Marketing Institute on Wednesday said it has hired Pamela Stegeman as vice president, business planning and development, a newly created position at the association.

ARLINGTON, Va. — Food Marketing Institute here on Wednesday said it has hired Pamela Stegeman as vice president, business planning and development, a newly created position at the association.

"We are very excited about adding this new position," Lesile G. Sarasin, president and chief executive officer, FMI, told SN. "We are going to bring a more entrepreneurial spirit to what we do here at FMI, and this is our first step in that effort."

Stegeman will be responsible for leading the value creation, revenue generation, new business and community development activities for FMI, the association said.

She will focus on business development, sales planning and execution, integrated marketing effectiveness, existing product and services integration, and client relationship building.

Stegeman most recently was president of the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council, and previously spent eight years at Grocery Manufacturers Association, including as vice president, supply chain and technology.

Previously, she was vice president of marketing at U.S. Office Products Co.; senior marketing manager, new products marketing and global business development for Colgate-Palmolive Corp.; and she held management positions at Sprint Corp. and The Procter & Gamble Co.
